Cards Against Humanity Fights to Stop Trump’s Border Wall

We live in an upside-down world these days. It’s a world in which real news is called fake, biased news is called balanced, people are taking a stand to support a pedophilic politician, and the fight for humanity is being led by Cards Against Humanity.

The makers of the popular game best known for its scatological and sexual sayings has announced it’s launching a Cards Against Humanity Saves America campaign. Its first move: Fight to block the border wall.

“Donald Trump is a preposterous golem who is afraid of Mexicans,” the company announced on its website. “He is so afraid that he wants to build a twenty-billion dollar wall that everyone knows will accomplish nothing. So we’ve purchased a plot of vacant land on the border and retained a law firm specializing in eminent domain to make it as time-consuming and expensive as possible for the wall to get built.”

The company said the first 150,000 customers who paid $15 would get “six America-saving surprises in the mail during the holidays.” That promotion sold out within hours. What kind of surprises will those lucky 150,000 people receive? Allegedly, a piece of the U.S.-Mexico borderlands.

According to Cards Against Humanity’s promotional video, told in the style of a documentary from the future, “Everyone who signed up for the promotion was given a small portion of the land. That way, together, they owned it. The government would have to take them to court and fight in order to put up the wall.”

Narration from Peter Coyote, whose voice you may recognize from Ken Burns’ documentaries, lends the video verisimilitude, and gives an extra gut-punch to Trump.

The campaign was announced on November 14, and as of the following day, Cards Against Humanity has not responded to any news outlet’s request to confirm whether its statements are true. Nor has Trump tweeted any response to the campaign. However, he has during that 24 hours called CNN  “bad,” “fake,” and “loser,” plus called the New York Times  “naive (or dumb)” and “failing.”

Cards Against Humanity’s announcement may or may not be, well, fake news. But it’s certainly a sign that criticism of Trump’s cruel and crazy policies are becoming more vocal, more widespread, and more hilarious.
