No More Deaths-No Más Muertes

This faith-based southern Arizona ministry has long provided humanitarian aid to migrants in the borderlands. With the goal of preventing human suffering, No More Deaths volunteers leave drinking water, food, and supplies on migrant trails; provide medical care and shelter to migrants at a southern Arizona camp; document reports of migrant abuse at the hands of American authorities; assist deported migrants in Mexico; and help migrants recover property lost during arrests and detentions.

“We started No More Deaths because we thought we needed a 24-hour-a-day, seven-days-a-week presence [in the desert],” says co-founder Reverend John Fife. “Our basic function is to save as many lives here as we can and end the death and suffering of migrants.”
